🔍 What is the Accessibility Act?
The Accessibility Ac (updated "Legge Stanca" in Italy – South Tyrol, BFSG in Germany and BaFG in Austria) implements the European Accessibility Act (EAA) into national law. It requires companies to make their websites and digital services accessible. The goal 🎯: to ensure that people with disabilities have equal access to digital products and services.

What changed in Re:Guest?
Nothing for you as a user – except that you're now 100% compliant. We've made several adjustments to ensure that the platform, the Re:Guest Messenger, and the request and newsletter widgets are all accessible.

What changed in Re:Guest?
Nothing for you as a user – except that you're now 100% compliant. We've made several adjustments to ensure that the platform, the Re:Guest Messenger, and the request and newsletter widgets are all accessible.
- Improved keyboard navigation 💻
The entire platform – including the Messenger – can now be operated using just the keyboard or alternative input devices. A mouse or touchpad is no longer required.
- Enhanced screen reader support 🗣️
ARIA attributes ensure a logical and clear page structure for screen readers. All interactive elements like links and buttons are correctly labeled and meaningfully described
- Proper labeling of buttons, links and actions
All interactive elements are semantically structured in HTML to ensure usability and accessibility.
- Audible notification when Messenger loads 📨
Once the Messenger is fully loaded, a screen reader announces an acoustic signal with the keyboard shortcut:- Windows / Linux: Shift + Alt + M
- macOS: Shift + Option + M
- Accessible display of chat history 💬
New messages are automatically detected and read aloud by the screen reader. The entire chat history is accessible and easy to understand.
